A pickup truck that can go 100 miles an hour off-road? Who knew?!
For 2016 the Ram Rebel TRX Concept truck was a top priority with the Ram Truck team and they delivered with a roar at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas.
Along with the extreme capability of the 575-horsepower Ram Rebel TRX Concept, the brand also took the wraps off a new, Texas-exclusive Ram 1500 Lone Star Silver edition.
2016 also found the brand rolling out two exciting new and one return-favorite option packages. The 1500 Rebel Mojave Sand Limited-Edition, an all-new and unique exterior color. The Ram 1500 Ignition Orange Sport brings back an earlier enthusiast favorite. And the Ram 1500 Night model kicks the customized look up yet another notch with monochromatic detailing.
The Ram 1500 Rebel hit the off-road circuit as an official vehicle of the inaugural women-only off-road navigation Rebelle Rally. Rally teammates Nena Barlow and Kande Jacobsen powered the stock Rebel over more than 1,000 miles of rugged trails for seven days, ending up taking the Rally’s top-spot for stock vehicles.
Capability in the Heavy Duty segment increased with the addition of new takes on two popular models: The 2017 Ram Power Wagon and a new Ram 2500 Heavy Duty 4×4 Off-road Package.
The Ram Truck brand also earned several awards over the last 12 months. Among them:
- Ram ProMaster City won the Green Car Journal’s 2017 Commercial Green Car of the Year
- Consumer Digest named the Ram 1500 a ‘Best Buy’ in the pickup segment for the third time in four years
- Ram 1500 was also named a 2017 Consumer Guide® Automotive ‘Best Buy’
- Ram Rebel Mopar ‘16 took home Best Off-road Vehicle from the Rocky Mountain Automotive Press
So, at the end of a very busy year, what’s next on the agenda for the Ram Truck team? You’ll just have to stay tuned!
