The Jeep® brand unveils the all-new 2020 Jeep Gladiator, the most capable midsize truck ever. 100% Truck, 100% Jeep.

The all-new 2020 Jeep® Gladiator carries on the rich heritage of Jeep trucks with legendary 4×4 capability, best-in-class towing and 4×4 payload with open-air freedom.

The Jeep brand held the world premiere of this much-anticipated midsize truck Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

“There is tremendous demand for this unique vehicle from our loyal Jeep customers and pickup truck buyers everywhere,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Jeep Brand – North America. “Born from a rich and proud heritage of tough, dependable Jeep trucks, Gladiator combines rugged utility, versatility and functionality, resulting in the most capable midsize truck ever.”

The pickup features a modern design that is instantly recognizable as a Jeep with its iconic keystone-shaped grille, a fold-down windshield, easy-to-use premium soft top and two hardtops. It also offers unmatched off-road capability and advanced fuel-efficient powertrains, up to 7,650 pounds of towing capacity and up to 1,600 pounds of payload capacity in the five-foot steel bed.

Inside the bed, there’s available under-rail bed lighting, an available covered external power source and strong integrated tie-downs. Inside of the cabin, and exclusive to Gladiator, the rear seats feature segment-leading rear legroom and utilize a unique design that can be locked in place to provide secure storage behind the seat back. The rear seats can also be folded flat to access cab-back storage.

While the Gladiator offers the latest in capability, design and technology, it also carries on a more than 40-year legacy of tough, dependable Jeep trucks. This dates back to 1947 with the first Willys Overland Jeep pickup, continued through 1963 when the original Gladiator pickup was introduced and stretched through the Jeep Comanche in the early 1990s.

Hello from the Motor City! I’m Edward Cardenas and I’m multimedia editor for Stellantis. As a lifelong Detroiter, I have been surrounded by the automotive industry. I’ve had members of my immediate and extended family work in the industry. I’ve covered it as a journalist and advocated for it as a communications professional. I have also experienced the thrills of the industry while riding in a race car at nearly 200 miles per hour. Having this breadth of experience, I look forward to drawing upon my experiences to bring a wide range of stories, photos and videos about Chrysler, FIAT and Alfa Romeo to Stellantis Digital Media. When I’m not covering my brands, I’m spending time with my wife and two boys.
