When it came to designing the interior of the all-new 2021 Jeep® Grand Cherokee L, the team’s objective was to create one of the most exquisite and technologically advanced interiors in the industry, and one that would grow and evolve with the rest of the Jeep brand lineup.
“The objective for the interior design team was to create a unique statement for the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. We viewed the overall design process through a wide lens that allowed us to use a new generation of Jeep interiors,” said Chris Benjamin, director of interior design. “While the Jeep Grand Cherokee interior has been synonymous with sophistication, our approach to the three-row version was to showcase distinguished details, handcrafted materials and modern amenities that pair seamlessly with its tailored exterior.”
Drivers and front passengers will notice right away that the new interior layout is more horizontal and streamlined. The design team focused on angling the instrument panel and other controls so that they create a spaciousness throughout the cabin for a more comfortable, luxurious feel. The use of premium materials like wood, leather and metal further elevate the experience.
The attention to detail didn’t stop in the front of the cabin, as designers took special interest in ensuring that the third row of the Grand Cherokee L didn’t feel like an afterthought. Sculpted seats with bottom cushions that waterfall ensure a comfortable ride for passengers, no matter their stature.
With more interior space thanks to the third row, the Grand Cherokee L also has multiple seating configurations available to fit six or seven passengers comfortably.
With other available features like multicolor ambient LED lighting, driver and front passenger seat back massage, four-zone automatic temperature control and a premium 19-speaker McIntosh audio sound system, passengers can feel right at home on any road in the Grand Cherokee L.
