Wishful thinking fulfills a young boy’s dream

As you look forward to sharing this Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends, we’d like to share a few minutes with a very special young boy who knows a lot about sharing.

Six-year-old Liam Waldron has spent more of his young life in a Cleveland hospital than on a playground, battling an aggressive form of bone cancer. But that hasn’t dampened his passion for cars and car safety. Not one bit!

In fact, it’s a passion that runs so deep and far beyond his tender years that, during one recent hospital stay, Liam took it upon himself to help choose a new vehicle for his oncology nurse. The result? Armed with Liam’s extensive internet research, she eventually wound up buying a new Jeep Grand Cherokee.

A love that strong should not go unrewarded. And, thanks to the efforts of Cleveland’s A Special Wish Foundation, the Impact team at FCA’s Chelsea Proving Grounds in Chelsea, Michigan, set to work cutting through layers of red tape and security concerns, doing whatever was necessary to make Liam’s all-time greatest wish, to command a crash test, come true. Turns out it was a moment when everyone involved felt their wish had come true, too.
