Chrysler has launched an informative and interactive website about the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid that’s filled with facts and details about the first-ever minivan to offer both gas and electric powertrains.
Whypacificahybrid.com allows visitors to explore the many features of the innovative minivan, watch descriptive animations with a simple click and even chat with an expert.
This microsite is an extension of chrysler.com and will help demystify common misconceptions. The microsite launched with six categories: range, charging, affordability, battery life, technology and practicality.
Information within each of these categories is presented in a myth/fact form. Some examples include:
Myth: I will have range anxiety; my car could quit at any time
Fact: Pacifica Hybrid has the ability to travel 32 miles on electric with a total driving range of 520 miles
Myth: takes too long to charge and I need to buy a charger and other equipment
Fact: each Pacifica Hybrid comes with a level I charger that can be charged in a 120-volt outlet. The Pacifica also has regenerative braking, so it charges while you are driving. And, if you want to upgrade, Pacifica Hybrid charges in as little as two hours with the 240-volt level II charger
Myth: too expensive
Fact: Pacifica Hybrid is eligible for up to $7,500 federal tax credit and some state/local incentives
Myth: there is no warranty for my battery
Fact: the battery has a 10-year/150,000-mile limited warranty or a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty depending on the state you live in or bought in
Myth: too difficult to understand
Fact: Pacifica Hybrid seamlessly switches between gas and electric powertrains for the optimal driving experience
Myth: I can’t fit my entire family and our stuff
Fact: seats up to seven passengers and has third-row stowing capability (81 possible seating configurations)
Even though the current microsite is dynamic and filled with helpful information, Chrysler is planning to add additional informative and interactive features, as well as owner testimonial videos, in the coming weeks.
