Alfa Romeo is bringing Italian engineering, design and performance to the United States with the new Giulia Quadrifoglio.

The new Italian-built performance sedan was unveiled for the first time in North America at the Los Angeles Auto Show, but Alfa Romeo has already provided a glimpse into the capabilities of its high-performance engine on one of the most well-known tracks in Europe.
With the ability to accelerate from 0-60 mph in only 3.8 seconds, and an engine that can top out at 505 horsepower, drivers took the Giulia to the Nürburgring track and registered a lap time of 7:39, which made Giulia Quadrifoglio the fastest 4-door production vehicle to ever run on the track.

This was made possible not only by the Ferrari-derived V-6 engine, but also through the use of ultra-lightweight materials, such as carbon fiber and aluminum, along with an adjustable carbon fiber spoiler in the front lower fascia. This active aero front splitter, which is unique to Alfa Romeo, automatically lowers to increase performance and handling at high speeds.

It also features 19-inch aluminum wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, bi-xenon headlights, active aero front splitter, four rear chrome exhaust tailpipes, Alfa Romeo’s signature grille and the shamrock Quadrifoglio badge, which is the symbol of the most legendary winning race cars in the history of Alfa Romeo.

The interior of the Giulia Quadrifoglio has a number of Italian styling touches, including an asymmetric-styled instrument panel, a leather-wrapped dashboard and a Formula 1 inspired steering wheel that features the Alfa Red start button.
Production of the Giulia for North America is expected to begin late in the second quarter of 2016, with a suggested retail price of around $70,000.
This will be the third Alfa Romeo model available in the United States. The 4C Coupe and 4C Spider are currently available in dealerships across the country.
