‘We can tow more than any other Class 3 or 4 in the pickup market.’

There’s a lot of competition in today’s truck market, especially for those who use their trucks more for work than as a daily driver.

As Ram Truck brand showed select members of the media yesterday at our Chelsea, Mich., proving grounds, our lineup can out-work the best of what the competition offers.

“The [Ram] 3500 has a best-in-class tow rating of 31,210 lbs. That tow number is typical of what you’d see behind Class 6, 7 and 8 rigs,” explained Ram HD and Chassis Cab Chief Engineer Troy Davis. “We can tow more than any other Class 3 or 4 in the pickup market.”

In the video, Davis also talks about the engineering Ram Truck borrowed from the Ram 1500 and used in the Ram 2500.

“The Ram 2500 customer is a very diverse customer. They demand capability, yet desire the ride and handling comfort for everyday driving,” he said.

Watch the video to see how Ram Truck made the 2500 a better ride, plus other highlights from the Heavy Hauler program.
