While much attention will be paid to our December and full-year 2014 sales in the United States next week, it brings me pleasure to let you know of a major sales achievement in one of our largest, and most important markets, Brazil.
For the 13th consecutive year, Fiat brand ended 2014 as the sales leader in light and commercial vehicles in Brazil.
The numbers are impressive. The Fiat brand sold 698,238 units, while capturing a 21 percent market share.
To put it into perspective, Fiat brands’s sales volume surpassed its nearest competitor by more than 119-thousand units.
Adding to this good news, still another achievement.
Fiat Palio was the best-selling car in Brazil in 2014, with 183,748 units licensed in the year.
How do you sustain 13 straight years of sales superiority in such a vast and competitive market?
Cledorvino Belini, COO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) for Latin America, explains it well saying, “Our leadership is a consequence of an efficient production management and constant monitoring of the Brazilian market changes to understand what consumers are willing. This way, we can anticipate and offer products that surprise our customers.”
It’s a wonderful way to greet 2015 as FCA works to grow sales and customer satisfaction in all of our global markets in this new year.
