In preparation of the all-new Alfa Romeo Tonale compact SUV launch next year, more than 150 international suppliers involved in producing the Tonale – the brand’s first-ever electrified vehicle – met Alfa Romeo CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato and Alfa Romeo senior management at the G.B. Vico plant in Pomigliano d’Arco, Italy, where the Tonale will be built.
The message delivered from Imparato: Quality without compromise.
Based on the concept presented in Geneva in 2019, the Tonale C-SUV will bring the unique Alfa Romeo Italian style and unparalleled driving dynamics to one of the fastest growing premium main segments across the globe. It will also be the first plug-in hybrid offered in the Alfa Romeo lineup.
Having specifically focused on improving quality since his appointment, Imparato has taken part in regular meetings at the Pomigliano (Tonale) and Cassino (Giulia and Stelvio) plants to emphasize the importance of quality and achieving excellence. Again today, with suppliers in attendance, he strongly reiterated that quality is a major priority in the successful launch of Tonale.
“To achieve our goal, the starting point is the selection of materials. Our suppliers are the partners on a journey of which the destination is the brand’s first-ever electrified car, still embodying Alfa Romeo’s DNA with the highest quality standards,” said Imparato.
Joining Imparato at the plant was the Stellantis Chief Customer Experience Officer Richard Schwartzwald and Plant Manager Alessio Leonardi.
