Diamonds might be a girl’s best friend, but the ‘carat’ that puts the sparkle in the eyes of car lovers … is chrome. It has traditionally been the ‘go anywhere’ automotive accessory, at home on the drag strip as well as a five-star restaurant.
While the love affair with chrome may have languished for a while, it’s back full force with the 2015 Ram Laramie Limited, unveiled Thursday, February 12, at the Chicago Auto Show.
The new definition of elegance starts with the shiny chrome “RAM” badges and front and rear bumpers. It gleams as a polished accent strip on the tailgate and sparkles in the chrome accents in the body-side molding.
Chrome may be Laramie Limited’s ‘crown jewel,’ but this black-tie luxury alternative to the southwestern-themed Laramie Longhorn edition, brings road sophistication full circle with even more luxurious touches inside the cabin.
Unique pinstripe stitching and Graystone leather piping create a rich silhouette on the Black Natura Plus premium leather seats. Another unique touch is the rear flap-closure seatback map pockets with Ram-lettered chrome buckles. A leather-wrapped steering wheel is accented with high-gloss Argento wood. Your cell phone or tablet have a snug, sophisticated home inside a bin finished with wood sliding door.
Liquid graphite and liquid chrome create a high-end luster in the Limited’s premium cluster gauges, and premium Berber carpet floor mats are not only removable, but come with a rubber, slush and mud mat underneath.
Best of all, Ram Laramie Limited wraps this opulence around a proven, award-winning tough truck with best-in-class capability and efficiency. The only thing you’ll need to add is a time and place to show off your good taste!
The Ram 1500 Laramie Limited will be arriving in showrooms in the second quarter of 2015. The Ram Laramie Limited 2500 and 3500 arrive in the third quarter as 2016 models.
