One of the first things we tell visitors to the Chrysler World Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Mich., is they’re in the second largest office complex in the U.S., next to the Pentagon. That gets their attention.
Then we explain they’re also within a unique environment where a new vehicle can be conceived, designed, tested and a prototype built all under one roof. Not only does that give FCA a competitive advantage when developing cars and trucks, it’s a pretty attractive selling point when recruiting new talent to the company. That’s why “Under One Roof” is the theme of our display at the just completed 2015 Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) World Congress in Detroit. The SAE is a trade show, so the on-site audience was limited to those inside the industry, but we thought you’d like to see what hundreds of engineers, designers and others who attended the show saw. Kipp Owen, Director of Product Validation and Science Centers provides the commentary in this short video, explaining the concept of “Under One Roof.”
